Arsenal star's transfer valuation set to sky-rocket after club announcement

Arsenal star is worth ten times more than what they bought him for.

Arsenal are set to see Gabriel Martinelli's transfer valuation sky-rocket after the Brazilian recently signed a new deal committing his future to the club.

The attacker has put pen to paper on a new contract that will see him remain at the Emirates Stadium until 2027.

He has been a catalyst in the league leader's success this season and his impressive performances at the World Cup in Qatar have seen him become one the best young forwards around.

The 21-year-old joined the Gunners back in 2019 for £6m moving from Ituano in his native country.

In just four years at the club, his valuation has soared to £60m according to Transfermarkt, and that's before taking into account his new deal.

Martinelli: "I feel amazing"

In an interview with Arsenal, the Brazilian international confessed his love for the club and spoke about how amazing it felt to finally commit his future to the North London side.

He said: "I feel amazing, I’m really happy in getting the new contract, I want to do my best for the team and for the fans as well, to give back to them and make them proud.

"I’ve said it many times, I love everything about Arsenal. I love the city, I love my teammates, I love the fans, I love the club and I’m going to try my best for this football club."

Arsenal have only been beaten once in the Premier League this season and are fighting for their first title in 19 years.

The talent of the clubs' young stars including Martinelli has been vital to their efforts so far.

He has scored seven goals in all competitions during this campaign and has formed a formidable foursome alongside Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has been afforded time managers rarely get to build an exciting squad and Martinelli stressed the importance of their need to win trophies.

He said: "We need to win trophies, I think not just me but everyone in that dressing room wants to go to the games to win them, and for our fans."
