Stan Kroenke receives £2bn cash influx ahead of crucial Arsenal transfer window

Stan Kroenke receives £2bn cash influx ahead of crucial Arsenal transfer window

Stan Kroenke has received a huge cash influx.

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has received a £2billion cash influx ahead of a crucial transfer window for the Gunners.

Arsenal are tipped for a busy transfer window. Having spent 248 days of last season at the Premier League summit, Mikel Arteta’s men were pipped to the line by Manchester City.

But Arsenal are looking to lick their wounds and challenge for the title once more next season.

The club have already tied down some of the most lethal stars to long-term deals, including Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, while they have been linked to a slew of high-profile transfers.

Arsenal’s priority target is reportedly Declan Rice, though the England man could cost north of £100million, while the club are also said to be keen on the likes of Moises Caicedo and Joao Cancelo, who would both command a hefty transfer fee.

However, Arsenal’s chances of landing their priority targets may have been boosted by their owner Kroenke’s surge in wealth.

Kroenke’s cash influx could help Arsenal

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Kroenke’s net worth has increased from £10.5billion to £12.5billion.

Indeed, the Gunners’ Champions League qualification may have, to some degree, contributed to the American’s £2billion cash influx.

Indeed, Arsenal spent £172million on eight players in both the summer and winter transfer windows.

And according to Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar, the Kroenkes are ready to back his transfer plans and take the club to a “different level” this summer.

“There is still a lot do. We see our squad with a margin to improve,” said Edu, via the Evening Standard. “There are different levels of football we can go to as well and we are really excited to start next season as well, because we know where we are.

“We know probably what we need to go for a different level. We receive a lot of support from the board to do what we plan to do.

“And then, let’s face the summer and see how we are going to finish that to improve our squad.”
