Arsenal's Granit Xhaka Showed Ultimate Disrespect To Norwich City In 5-0 Humbling

Arsenal's Granit Xhaka Showed Ultimate Disrespect To Norwich City In 5-0 Humbling

Granit Xhaka was involved in a bizarre piece of play in Arsenal's 5-0 thrashing of Norwich City.

Arsenal's Granit Xhaka thought he was prime Ronaldinho in the 5-0 Boxing Day thumping against Norwich.

Bukayo Saka hit a brace, with Kieran Tierney, Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith-Rowe also on target as the Gunners ran riot.

Xhaka was not amongst the goals but he did produce the game's most memorable moment when he decided out to bust out a passage of play straight out of jogo bonito.

The ball was switched over to the Swiss international in the middle of the park, with Xhaka having plenty of time and space.

Not under any pressure, he decided to control the ball with his back and doing a little spin for no reason whatsoever.

It garnered a whole lot of reaction online, with some believing it sums up just how poor Norwich were:

Xhaka isn't renowned as someone brimming with flair or sauce on the pitch but clearly he was in the mood today.

Arsenal have now won five games on the trot and lie in fourth in the Premier League after an impressive win.

Aaron Ramsdale registered his ninth clean sheet in the league, with only Manchester City's Ederson having more shut-outs than him.

The Norwich trouncing marked manager Mikel Arteta's two-year anniversary as manager and the Spaniard was delighted with his team's display.

“We looked really sharp and committed," Arteta told BBC.

"It’s a big win for us. I am really pleased. The amount of chances we create is pleasing.

“We go to every ground to try and impose our game. Today was a really good example. The unity we have around the club and with our fans is very pleasing.”
