Barcelona star Pedri is likely to miss Thursday’s Europa League clash against Manchester United

A fan appeared to secretly hand Barcelona star Pedri her phone number during a meeting with the midfielder.

20-year-old Pedri shot to fame in 2020 when he joined from Las Palmas.

Since then, he has gone on to make 104 appearances for the Camp Nou club, scoring 16 goals.

Pedri has also developed into one of the finest midfielders in world football, winning the prestigious 2021 Golden Boy award ahead of the likes of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich youngster Jamal Musiala.

With fame comes attention and the Barcelona star appears to have captured the eyes of a female fan.

During a meeting with the player, the female fan appeared to secretly hand Pedri a piece of paper before posing for a picture with Pedri. You can watch the video below.

Fans were quick to react to the footage.

One said: “My man Pedri winning on and off the pitch.”

Another tweeted: “Me wanting Pedri to sign my sticker and here are the people trying to be the future woman.”

A third fan added: “Pedri deffo just got her number handed to him!”

Pedri is currently nursing a hamstring injury he suffered during the first leg of the Europa League playoff tie against Manchester United.

Manager Xavi said after the match: “He noticed discomfort in the quadriceps. We'll see how he is tomorrow and what the tests say.”

The day after, Barcelona released a statement saying: “The tests carried out this morning have confirmed that the first team player Pedri has suffered an injury to the rectus femoris of the right thigh.

“He is unavailable and his evolution will determine his availability.”

According to various reports, Pedri is expected to be sidelined for at least three weeks, with some claiming that it could even be four weeks before the midfielder is back on the pitch.

After last week’s dramatic 2-2 draw, the tie at Old Trafford is looking likely to be another Europa League classic.
