Bernardo Silva's Assist For Gabriel Jesus' Winner Vs PSG Was a Moment Of Magic

Bernardo Silva hoodwinked the Paris Saint-Germain defence with a moment of magic to set Gabriel Jesus up for the match winning goal, as Manchester City topped their Champions League group.

City went into their Matchday Five game against their rivals for the top spot without Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden or Jack Grealish in the team.

Pep Guardiola's side needed someone else to spark them into life against a PSG defence that were brilliant with their backs against the wall in the first half.

After being battered for 45 minutes, PSG actually took the lead through Kylian Mbappe, just five minutes after the break, only for City to comeback.

First Raheem Sterling got the hosts level, after 63 minutes, before Jesus scored the winner with just 14 minutes left until full time.

Riyad Mahrez floated a perfect ball towards Silva at the back post. The Portugal midfielder shaped to strike it first time and caught the defenders unaware as he instead pulled it back for Jesus, who slotted home brilliantly.

City dominated the first half, and Ilkay Gundogan even thundered a shot against the post, but the back line from PSG held firm under lots of pressure.

It was similar to the first game between the sides this season, where City dominated throughout the second half but the French side managed to score twice.

They might have thought there was a repeat coming when Mbappe's goal broke the deadlock just after half time.

In the end though they deserved the win, and finish top of Group A with one game still to play, meaning they are seeed for the last 16.
