Bruno Fernandes was involved in an awkward exchange with an English journalist after he was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United exit.
Ronaldo is to leave Man United by mutual consent with immediate effect following his controversial interview with Piers Morgan last week.
His former club colleague and international teammate Fernandes fielded questions from the media ahead of Portugal's World Cup opener against Ghana on Thursday.

And, naturally, he was asked about the 37-year-old's Man United departure, but was told to give his answer in Portuguese rather than in English.
An English reporter asked Fernandes about the effects of losing a star player in Ronaldo at Man United while asking for the answer in English.
The Portugal press officer shook his head and said: "He will not answer in English."

The Man United midfielder then answered the question in Portuguese, with the translation app then turned off.
However, his thoughts on Ronaldo leaving Man United eventually surfaced online.
"It’s been an honour to play alongside him for club and country," he said. "It was a dream come true, but nothing lasts forever.
"Here everybody is focused on the World Cup. Everyone is aware of what it means to represent our country."
Ronaldo has already been linked with a host of clubs, with Newcastle United thought to be keen on signing the superstar forward.

He's seeking a 'new challenge' following his Old Trafford departure.
"Following talks with Manchester United, we’ve mutually agreed to end our contract," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
"I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change.
"It feels like the right time to seek a new challenge.

"I wish Man Utd all the best."
Ronaldo will look to put his club distractions aside as he hopes to steer Portugal to World Cup glory.
