Bukayo Saka set to more than quadruple his wages and become one of Premier League's top earners

Bukayo Saka is set to quadruple his wages at Arsenal, making him one of the club's all time top earners, in a brand new deal.

Very few people were questioning Saka's ability before this season but the current campaign, with Arsenal challenging for the Premier League title, has seen his stock sky rocket.

The 21-year-old has scored 12 goals and made 10 assists for his teammates, with only the ridiculous Erling Haaland and Harry Kane above him in goal contributions.

His form continued during the international break as well, scoring a brilliant goal as England defeated Ukraine to earn two wins out of two in Euro 2024 qualifying.

It would seem unimaginable right now for Gareth Southgate not to pick Saka in his starting lineup, which is pretty impressive considering the strength in depth in the forward positions for the Three Lions.

His form has even attracted the interest of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, with his current deal having just over a year left to run on it.

However, it seems that Guardiola won't have the chance to sign the forward any time soon, with the Gunners on the verge of signing him to a new deal.

According to the Daily Mail, the Londoner has agreed in principle a deal that will see him earn £300,000-a-week, or £15 million per year.

That would make him the north London club's highest paid player, boosting him above Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey by quite some distance.

He will also become one of their highest paid players ever, although it would still be some way below the £350,000-a-week that Mesut Ozil was on before he left.

Ozil's form fell off a cliff after signing his bumper deal and it became a huge error from the club to have signed him too it, but that is unlikely to happen with Saka.

The new wage would also see the England star land in the current top 10 Premier League earners, level with Manchester United star Casemiro and Manchester City forward Jack Grealish.

He would still be somewhat short of the league's number one highest paid player, with Kevin De Bruyne currently leading the way on £400k-a-week.

Even the Belgian could soon see his waged dwarfed however, with Erling Haaland reportedly set to earn a new £500,000-a-week deal by City.
