Harry Kane has made Bayern Munich an insane amount of money in shirt sales since joining from Tottenham

Bayern Munich have already recouped around 12 percent of Harry Kane's transfer fee in shirt sales alone, according to reports, as his popularity continues to grow.

The 30-year-old striker, who joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer for around £82 million, has enjoyed a wonderful start to life at the Bundesliga club.

So far, Kane has notched 26 goals in 23 games across all competitions for Thomas Tuchel's side, as well as eight assists.

It means the England international, who scored 213 Premier League goals in 320 appearances for Spurs, is leading the Bundesliga scoring charts ahead of Serhou Guirassy and Lois Openda.

As well as his form on the pitch, Kane's iconic number nine shirt is set to become the most popular in the club’s 124-year history.

It is believed Bayern sold around 20,000 shirts with Kane's name on the back during his first weekend in Munich alone.

And as February approaches, that number is now close to 100,000 sales, according to The Mirror. That means at around £100 each, the Bundesliga club have raked in £10 million in just half a season.

To put things into further perspective, Bayern believe they will flog another 100,000 with the 'Kane 9' letting by the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

German publication Kicker also quoted those numbers back in December, and claimed Kane's arrival was met with an 'almost absurd' amount of hype, with Munich going 'crazy' on his arrival.

Advertising walls were 'plastered' in the city centre as thousands gathered around the training ground to catch a glimpse of England's all-time top goalscorer.

Kane, who will likely feature for Bayern when they come up against Werder Bremen on Sunday, is close to breaking a clause in his current deal that includes scorer-points.

A report from German publication BILD suggests Kane will receive a payment of €250,000 [£218,000] if he scores more than 40 scorer-points across all competitions in a single season.

Scorer-points is basically another way of saying combined goals and assists, meaning Kane, who is currently on 34 goal involvements for the season, needs just six more to bag the clause amount.
