Harry Kane has just scored from his own half, it might be the goal of the year so far

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane netted one of the goals of the season in their Bundesliga clash against Darmstadt.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane scored from his own half in their Bundesliga clash against Darmstadt – and it's a serious contender for goal of the year.

The 30-year-old England international, who has scored 14 goals in 13 games for Bayern since his £82 million summer switch, bagged arguably the best goal of his career on Saturday.

After receiving a pass from Thomas Muller, the former Spurs forward spotted goalkeeper Marcel Schuhen off his line before rifling in from 55 yards with only his second touch.

Kane would soon produce the most nonchalant of celebrations as his Bayern teammates celebrated a quite frankly obscene effortl at the Allianz.

Check it out below. Is this the goal of the season so far?

Kane, who opened his account in the 51st minute, would go on to bag a hat-trick for Thomas Tuchel's side as goals from Leroy Sane [2], Jamal Musiala [2] and Thomas Muller completed the 8-0 rout.

This week has been a memorable one for Kane, who scored the crucial second goal in Bayern's 3-1 Champions League win against Galatasaray on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media in his post-match interview, Tuchel said Kane is so calm in front of goal that it's like he has just drunk a beer.

"He [Kane] has beer calm. If you have scored 4,800 goals in your career, then you just have less [of a] pulse," Tuchel said.

"But Harry also had to fight back today and defend himself. He secured more balls in the second half, and that was also a factor. He has a very natural self-confidence and knows that he doesn't need many chances."

Bayern will face German third tier side FC Saarbrucken in the DFB-Pokal cup on Wednesday evening before a much-anticipated away clash against Borussia Dortmund next weekend.
