Man Utd outcast Jadon Sancho stuns fans with new accent in Borussia Dortmund video

Fans are divided over Sancho's accent.

Jadon Sancho has appeared in a new social video for Borussia Dortmund, and everyone is talking about his accent.

Sancho has had a rather chaotic season with him going from a key man for Manchester United, to total outcast and now he is getting ready for a Champions League semi-final with Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho ended up excluded from the United first team after snapping back at Erik ten Hag who hung him out to dry following United's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the start of the season.

The English winger managed to escape the Dutchman with a loan move to Dortmund in January, where he has played a key role ever since.

Sancho has featured 11 times in the Bundesliga scoring one goal and providing one assist.

The 24-year-old has also featured in every Champions League knockout game for the club with Dortmund now set for a historic semi-final with PSG.

Sancho had previously lived in Germany during his first spell at Dortmund, appeared in a social video for the club this week and fans all noticed his accent.

In the video, the winger sounds different to how many fans would be used to from his time at United.

One fan questioned: "Why is bro talking like that"

With a second agreement: "What's with the accent"

One fan made the rather odd connection to Sancho's accent and the apparent disciplinary issues he had at United, but each to their own. They posted: "Man thinks he is a German with a dodgy accent. what a joke. Ten Hag should keep him out. spoilt child in the locker room"

However many came to the defense of Sancho and provided an explanation for the change in tone from the United loanee.

One fan explained: "We all do that thing with the accent let’s not cap, he’s just ensuring he is understood lol."

A second agreed: "I used to laugh at Sancho but the accent thing actually happens without realising it’s actually mad I do the same at work"

A third fan added: "I don't think people understand when you speak to foreigners abroad in your normal style/accent they struggle to understand so you speak differently for them to understand."
