Damning video shows Marc Cucurella 'acted like Mykhailo Mudryk didn't exist' in Chelsea's draw with West Ham

Fans think Chelsea's Marc Cucurella deliberately avoided passing to Mykhailo Mudryk in the 1-1 draw with West Ham on Saturday.

Fans are claiming Marc Cucurella deliberately avoided passing to Mykhailo Mydryk in Chelsea's draw with West Ham at the weekend.

The Blues looked seriously impressive in the opening exchanges at the London Stadium, with Joao Felix putting Chelsea ahead courtesy of a glorious assist from Enzo Fernandez.

But it soon petered out and after West Ham equalised through former Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri, Graham Potter's side had to settle for a draw.

Some Chelsea fans were not happy with the performance of £63 million signing Marc Cucurella, who was booed by a section of the away supporters when substituted for Ben Chilwell in the 67th minute.

And a video highlighting his below-par display has been created, specifically focusing on Cucurella not passing to Mudryk.

The Ukrainian international had an exciting cameo against Liverpool on his Premier League debut and was then hooked at half-time after a poor showing against Fulham.

He showed plenty of promise in his latest outing but as clips from the game show, Cucurella continually passed the ball backwards instead of finding Mudryk and allowing him to strut his stuff down the left flank.

Mudryk was always available and yet Cucurella went for the easy option almost every time, much to the frustration of those who watch Chelsea.

It appears as though Mudryk himself was annoyed by Cucurella not finding him, as he liked an Instagram post slamming his performance before later unliking it.

In his press conference, manager Graham Potter leapt to the defence of Cucurella and urged everyone to "stick together and help him".

He said: "Supporters are entitled to their opinion of course, they just want the team to do well and as I said in the previous press conference I don’t think Marc is in his absolute best moment.

“But at the same time, he’s been part of a team that’s kept a clean sheet at Anfield, a clean sheet against Fulham.

“In the summer, I know because I was at the selling club, there was another club that were interested in Marc.

“From a points view in the Premier League, they are a good club, so Marc hasn’t become a bad player at all but some players can go through bad times so we need to stick together and help him.”
