Everything you need to know about Chelsea vs RB Salzburg

Graham Potter will take charge of his first game as Chelsea boss tonight as the Blues host RB Salzburg at Stamford Bridge.

Despite concerns surrounding policing in London following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the contest is set to go ahead.

In the Champions League last time out, Chelsea suffered a shock 1-0 defeat in Croatia at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb.

And following the disappointing defeat on the continent, Thomas Tuchel received his marching orders from Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

New Blues boss Graham Potter will need to be wary of the threat Salzburg will pose. The Austrian Bundesliga outfit impressed during a 1-1 draw with Milan last week.

They then went on to beat Ried 3-0 to cement their spot as league leaders.

Chelsea Vs RB Salzburg: Live stream and TV channel

Chelsea Vs RB Salzburg will be broadcast live in the UK on BT Sport 3.

The match, which kicks off at 8pm (BST), will also be available to stream on the BT Sport app. Highlights will also be able to be found there later tonight.

Chelsea team news

Chelsea’s Premier League fixture with Liverpool at the weekend has been postponed due to policing issues so Graham Potter has an opportunity to field a full-strength side against Salzburg.

The only notable absentee will be N’Golo Kante who is carrying a hamstring injury which could keep him side-lined until after the upcoming international break.

Potter’s team selection will of course be of specific interest to Chelsea fans as he begins to figure out what he perceives to be the Blues’ best starting XI.

RB Salzburg team news

Salzburg on the other hand have a whole host of injury problems at the moment.

Up to 10 Salzburg players are believed to be unavailable for the trip to London this evening.

Teenage starlet Benjamin Sesko, who was linked with a move to Chelsea over the summer, is available for selection though after overcoming a recent knock.
