Chelsea fans are getting emotional over Thomas Tuchel's 100th game interview

Chelsea fans are getting emotional over Thomas Tuchel's 100th game interview

"I hope there will be another hundred and another hundred."

Thomas Tuchel's interview ahead of his 100th and final game as Chelsea manager has emerged and fans are emotional watching it back.

The 49-year-old was sacked on Wednesday following a 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

Despite a mediocre start to the season, supporters were still behind Tuchel and he spoke to the club's official website ahead of his 100th game in charge.

Tuchel couldn't help but smile when told about his 100th game and he said: "It's nice, 100 is very nice. I hope there will be 100 and another 100 coming.

"I have to earn my way through it. I am very proud and very happy to make it to 100."

That clash out in Croatia on Tuesday evening ended up being his final game in charge and he was relieved of his duties the following day.

The footage quickly went viral and users on social media had their say.

One person said: "Grown men don't cry, but this nearly got me."

Another added: "I'm still not over his sacking and this has set me off again."

A third tweeted: "When this was recorded he was completely oblivious of what was to happen in the following days. That’s what hurts me the most I think."

While someone put: "I'll never forgive Chelsea for this."

Graham Potter has been appointed the new Chelsea head coach and he'll be in the dugout for Saturday's clash with Fulham.

He leaves Brighton and Hove Albion after three full seasons, with the last seeing him guide them to ninth in the Premier League.

An official statement from Potter reads: "I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club.

"I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s new ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.
