Chelsea star absolutely destroyed by fans online after 1-1 draw to RB Salzburg

Chelsea star absolutely destroyed by fans online after 1-1 draw to RB Salzburg

Some fans want him out of the club.

Chelsea fans savagely slammed Hakim Ziyech following his shocking performance against RB Salzburg on Wednesday.

Graham Potter began his Chelsea reign with an underwhelming draw against Salzburg in the Champions League.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge, with Noah Okafor earning his side a point after netting in the 75th minute.

The Blues face an uphill task to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages, having recorded just one point from their first two group stage matches.

And Chelsea supporters took their frustration out on Ziyech, who played just nine minutes of his side's European clash.

He failed to make an impact and was wasteful in possession after replacing Cesar Azpilicueta, as fans took to social media to vent their anger at the Moroccan international.

Ziyech also made a substitute appearance in Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb last week.

He's featured in just two Premier League games this season, having been linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

But he has a clean slate under new boss Potter, who was left frustrated with his team's draw against Salzburg.

"We're frustrated with just one point but I thought the application of the players was fantastic," he said. "They gave everything and I was very proud of how they acted today.

"It's not been easy for them either. You know, a change of coach and all that comes with that, but their response has been brilliant. They've acted really well; professional, honest, responsible. So, from an effort perspective, it was absolutely 100% there."

Chelsea, who currently occupy sixth place in the league table, don't have a fixture until October 1 following the postponement of their home game against Liverpool this weekend.
