Man Utd star Antony ignores Cristiano Ronaldo in building his perfect player

Man Utd star Antony ignores Cristiano Ronaldo in building his perfect player

Ronaldo might be one of the greatest players of all time but Man Utd star Antony doesn't rate any of his abilities.

Cristiano Ronaldo might be acknowledged as one of the greatest footballers in the history of the game but he's not good enough to make up Antony's 'perfect footballer.'

Despite the fact that some people believe the debate between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is over, there is no doubting how good the Al Nassr star has been throughout his career.

Messi is ahead of him on Ballon d'Ors but the 38-year-old still has five of his own and he won the Champions League with each one, which puts him ahead of the Argentine on that stat.

You'd imagine that most other players on the planet would want to have the skill of Real Madrid's all time top goalscorer and if they had the chance to build a footballing monster akin to Frankenstein's creature they'd use something from him.

That's not the case for United star Antnoy, despite the fact that the Brazilian started his time at Old Trafford playing with the Portugal star.

Asked to pick players to make up his 'perfect' specimen, the former Ajax man went with Robert Lewandowski's finishing above Ronaldo's, as you can see in the video below.

The Brazilian understandably went with Kylian Mbappe for his speed, despite only being the 11th fastest player in last season's Champions League.

For dribbling and flair the 23-year-old confused everyone by picking Neymar in the former and Messi in the latter, with fans thinking it should have been the other way around.

Luka Modric was picked for his intelligence something the 37-year-old clearly hasn't lost despite his advancing years, in a football sense.

Having seen Bruno Fernandes' passing up close this season it's no surprise that Antony picked his United teammate for that piece of skill.

Perhaps embarrassingly for Harry Maguire the United forward didn't pick his captain for 'leader ability' but instead another man at Old Trafford, Casemiro.

Shooting would have been the most expected thing for Antony to pick Ronaldo in but instead it went to Lewandowski, which is kind of understandable.

Ronaldo is soon going to be finding himself surrounded by some more familiar faces in Saudi Arabia, with the influx of players from Europe to the Middle East.

He will already be facing former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema and Portugal colleague Ruben Neves when next season starts.

United could even end up selling five of their own stars to the Saudi Pro League, although Antony isn't expected to be one of them.
