Everyone noticed what the ad board changed to when Ronaldo scored his second goal

Everyone noticed what the ad board changed to when Ronaldo scored his second goal

Cristiano Ronaldo is lighting up his debut in Saudi Arabia

The advertising board at the friendly match between Paris Saint Germain and the Riyadh XI changed to the word ‘GOAT’ at the exact moment Cristiano Ronaldo netted.

After weeks of waiting, football fans in Saudi Arabia finally got to watch Ronaldo live after he made his first start since making his big-money move to the Middle East.

The 37-year-old was part of the Riyadh XI that took on French Ligue 1 champions PSG in what was a much-anticipated friendly.

Ronaldo’s long-time rival Lionel Messi poked his side ahead inside three minutes with a clever finish at the near post after a beautiful pass by Brazilian superstar Neymar.

However, in true Ronaldo fashion, he grabbed the limelight back off the Argentina legend as he netted from 12 yards after being fouled inside the box by PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

PSG then went back ahead courtesy of a brilliant header by captain Marquinhos. But again, Ronaldo stepped up when his team needed it most.

Ronaldo hit the post with a header before slamming home the rebound, at that moment, the advertising board on the side of the pitch displayed the word ‘GOAT’. Which many felt was the perfect representation of the Portugal captain.

However, it has to be said that GOAT is actually a leading sneaker marketplace that became PSG’s sleeve partner.

Upon announcing GOAT as a club sponsor, PSG’s Chief Partnerships Officer, Marc Armstrong said: “We are delighted to welcome GOAT into the Paris Saint-Germain family with this partnership that will see them join the exclusive roster of club partners present on our iconic jerseys.”

Ronaldo’s fans still believe that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is the greatest of all time despite Messi managing to lead Argentina to World Cup glory last month.

Most football fans around the world firmly believe Messi is the undisputed GOAT in football after he produced a string of stellar performances to inspire Argentina to glory in Qatar.

Who do you think is the GOAT? Let us know in the comments.
