Roy Keane took aim at Newcastle United whilst talking about Cristiano Ronaldo after Portugal’s win over Ghana in the World Cup.
After a cagey first half, Ronaldo fired his side ahead from the penalty spot and became the first male player to score in five World Cups.
Their lead was short-lived as Andre Ayew drew Ghana level after just eight minutes.

Goals from Joao Felix and Rafael Leao then made it 3-1 to Portugal. Ghana then set up a grandstand finish as Osman Bukari netted in the 89th minute.
Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa nearly cost his team all three points as he put the ball down inside his area without knowing that Ghana forward Inaki Williams was right behind him.
Luckily for Costa and Portugal, Williams slipped at the vital moment and didn’t manage to get a clean shot away.
The moment of madness made Ronaldo produce a hilarious reaction as he couldn’t believe what was happening.

Whilst speaking about the situation on ITV, Keane couldn’t resist the temptation of making a joke.
The former Manchester United captain said: “He [Costa] was very lucky. We saw the best and worst of Portugal tonight.
“Look at Ronaldo’s face, my goodness. Honestly, he’s just had a call [telling him] Newcastle are in for him.”
Since Ronaldo and United mutually agreed to part ways this week, Newcastle were one of the clubs linked with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe spoke about his club’s decision not to go in for the Portugal captain this summer, he said: “We’re trying to provide long-term growth.
“At the moment, we have quite an ageing squad. We need to get the average age down, so it might not be a signing we’d necessarily look to make.”
Despite a bitter end to Ronaldo and United’s relationship, former teammate and Red Devils captain Harry Maguire has defended the 37-year-old ahead of England’s match against the USA.

He said: “As a footballer, nobody likes being criticised but I think it's part and parcel of the game. I've played with Cristiano Ronaldo for the last couple of years and he's one of the greatest players to ever kick a football.
“He gets criticised daily, so if it's going to happen to him and the position I'm in playing for Manchester United, it's going to happen to each and every one of us. You've just got to work hard, go into training, do your best and that's all you can do.”
