Cristiano Ronaldo Went Straight Down The Tunnel After Manchester United Draw

Cristiano Ronaldo Went Straight Down The Tunnel After Manchester United Draw

United's failure to win meant they've only won two of the past six games and Ronaldo clearly wasn't happy with the result at full time.

Cristiano Ronaldo was so unhappy at the end of Manchester United's draw with Everton that he just marched straight down the tunnel.

Ronaldo was a surprise absence for United when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting XI was announced before kick off on Saturday morning.

The 36-year-old's last minute winner in the Champions League on Wednesday night was his fifth goal in five games, adding to the surprise of seeing the five time Ballon d'Or winner on the bench.

He did come on just before the hour mark, with United still winning, after Anthony Martial's first half goal, but Everton equalised through Andros Townsend, and United weren't able to get back ahead.

Clearly annoyed at the result, Ronaldo went straight off the pitch at full time, not talking to any of his teammates, and even refusing a conversation with Townsend.

Ronaldo didn't manage to have much of an impact on the game after coming on, unlike his previous games as a starter, and that's likely to have added to his annoyance.

Townsend attempting to talk to him wouldn't have lifted his mood too much, after the Toffees' winger scored the equalising goal for the visitors.

After scoring his fifth goal of the season, the former Crystal Palace winger stole the five time Ballon d'Or winner's patented SIUUUU celebration.

Townsend obviously wasn't too put off by his interaction, or lack thereof, with the United forward, as he paid tribute to the Champions League all time top scorer afterwards.

The former Spurs winger said that Ronaldo was his idol and that he spent hours trying to recreate the United star's skills and techniques.

He also admitted that, after his poor attempt at the celebration, he maybe needs to spend more time trying to learn the five time Ballon d'Or winner's methods.

Ronaldo could have been even more annoyed, had Everton scored the winner that they so nearly grabbed in the 86th minute.

Yerry Mina was adjudged to be offside from Tom Davies pass in the box and, after celebrating with a dance, got a suplex from Paul Pogba for his troubles.
