Dani Alves' Barcelona Highlights Shows Why He Is The 'Best Right-Back In History'

Alves is still going strong at the age of 39.

A fan has compiled an incredible compilation of Dani Alves' brilliant defending capabilities, stunning skills and the scintillating attacking threat that he demonstrated during his first spell at Barcelona.

The 39-year-old Brazilian is widely considered as one of the best right-backs in football history alongside the likes of Inter Milan legend Javier Zanetti and Bayern Munich hero Philipp Lahm.

Alves built an incredible legacy during his initial eight-year spell at the Camp Nou and performed at a world-class level time and time again.

The Brazil captain lifted six La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues, four Copa del Reys and four Spanish Super Cups at Barcelona.

YouTuber Henrik Lehmann has produced a compilation to highlight Alves' sensational form during his first spell with the Spanish side.

And fans were unsurprisingly singing the Barcelona star's praises and branding him as the best right-back in history.

One fan said: "One of the best in his position for a clean decade. Crazy."

YouTuber Expert Expertens simply posted in the comments: "For me, best right-back ever."

While another fan argued: "He redefined what being a right-back is."

A fourth added: "One of the best right-backs of all time, [Lionel] Messi and him were an unstoppable duo!"

Alves is currently the most decorated player in football history after picking up a staggering 42 trophies across an exceptional playing career.

The Brazil international left Barcelona in 2016 and went on to play for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Alves returned to Brazil with Sao Paulo and continued to shake up his playing style.

The former PSG and Juventus right-back was deployed as a central midfielder at the Brazilian side and flourished in the role as well.

Alves returned to Barcelona on a free transfer in the January window.

He's made 13 appearances in all competitions this season and the Catalan club are expected to renew his contract through to the summer of 2023, by which time he will have hit 40.

A truly remarkable player.
