Fabrizio Romano Reveals Which Details Are ‘Wide Of The Mark’ In Darwin Nunez's Possible Move To Liverpool

Darwin Nunez is unlikely to earn €250,000 per week at Liverpool, according to reports

World-renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has recently stated that reports of Darwin Nunez’s salary being €250,000 per week are ‘considered wide of mark by Liverpool sources,’ with the actual figure set to be lower.

Transfer news has been circulating around Nunez joining Liverpool for some time now, with the much anticipated move expected to be completed in the very near future.

The Uruguayan number 9 is coming off the back of a phenomenal season with Benfica, where the player netted 34 times from 41 appearances, including 6 times from 10 games in the Champions League.

Classic number 9 play from the 22 year-old is something which has clearly attracted Jurgen Klopp, a manager who formerly worked with Robert Lewandowski.

Nunez appears to share many of Lewandowski's qualities , with height and strength combined with finesse a menacing prospect for any Premier League defender.

Liverpool appear to have agreed a €100m deal for the Benfica striker. However, reports over the salary are ranging. Romano, the 29 year-old journalist sensation has provided some much needed information on this issue.

The Italian has stated that salary will not be at the currently reported rate of €250,000 per week, with it in-fact moderately lower than this and instead including add-ons.

Romano did provide closure on the length of the proposed contract also, with it being a 5 year deal offered to Nunez by Liverpool.
