David de Gea might not have had a good night in the Europa League, but he can find solace in his weekly pay from Manchester United.
It was a pretty awful night all round for United, as they crashed out of Europe at the hands of Sevilla, at the quarter final stages of the competition.
Harry Maguire was getting much of the criticism for how the match transpired, with even Anthony Martial's injury blamed on the centre back.

However, not everything was the captain's fault, with De Gea also blamed for two of the goals, and Gary Neville even exonerating Maguire's part in the opener.

As well as the calamity for the first goal, the Spanish keeper proved why his footwork leads him to be left out of the national team for the third, completely miscontroling the ball.
Indeed, none of it made for great watching, especially alongside Erik ten Hag's claims that the former Atletico Madrid man was the 'complete goalkeeper.'

And that belief by previous managers might be why he is currently the highest paid number one in the world, according to Capology, earning an immense £375,000-a-week.

With his contract expiring this summer, and that performance last night, there is questions about the 32-year-old's future at Old Trafford.
It was previously claimed that he'd have to take a massive pay reduction if he wanted to stay at the club, and it was recently reported he'd turned down an offer.
