The 26-year-old midfielder, who will join the Turkish Super Lig club from Everton on a season-long loan with an option to buy, will undergo medical tests on Thursday as he looks to reignite his career.

The former England international is desperate for more game time after making just one start in 13 appearances for the Toffees since his January move from Spurs.

He has failed to score or assist in the league during his seven month spell at Goodison Park but will be hoping to find some form in the coming months.

One thing is for certain; the majority of Besiktas fans will be behind Alli as he closes in on a move.

In fact, on Wednesday night, hundreds of supporters welcomed the former Spurs midfielder with open arms at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.

Wearing a Besiktas Scarf scarf, Alli even started a chant or two after a hype man warmed up the crowd.

Alli joined Everton in January in a deal that could have cost up to £40 million if certain performance bonuses were met.

It is believed the first £10 million would have been due after his 20th appearance for the Toffees but so far, the player has made just 13 appearances for the Premier League outfit, who struggled in large parts last season.

Alli has struggled to hit the heights of arguably his best season in 2016/17.

After joining Spurs from MK Dons in 2015, he quickly established himself as a first-team regular under Mauricio Pochettino and was named PFA Young Player of the Year in both of his first two years in North London.

He would make his England debut in 2015 and would go on to earn 37 caps for the Three Lions.

Let's hope he can recapture his form of old at Besiktas in the coming months.
