Dele Alli looks set to join Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas in the coming days after a total agreement was reached with Everton for the former England international.

The 26-year-old is desperate for more game time after making just one start in 13 appearances for the Toffees since his January move from Spurs.

Alli, who has made two Premier League appearances under Frank Lampard this season from the bench, has failed to score or assist in the league during his seven month spell at Goodison Park.

Now, it appears the former MK Dons midfielder will try and reignite his career again in the coming months after it was announced that the player 'has given the green light' to join Besiktas.

That's according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who says Alli will join the Turkish club on loan.

It has also been revealed that a buy option for Alli has been set at just €7 million [£5.9m] – a sum that not many would have believed a few years back.

Back in January, Alli joined Everton permanently from Tottenham on Deadline Day in a deal that could have cost up to £40 million if certain performance bonuses were met.

It is believed the first £10m would have been due after his 20th appearance for Everton but so far, the player has made just 13 appearances for the Premier League outfit, who struggled in large parts last season.

During his time at Spurs, former boss Jose Mourinho gave Alli an honest warning about 'demanding more from himself'.

Mourinho said: "I am 56 now and yesterday I was 20. Time flies. One day I think you will regret it if you don't reach what you can reach.

"I am not expecting you to be the man of the match every game. I am not expecting you to score goals every game. I want just to tell you that you will regret it.

"You should demand more from yourself. It should not be me demanding more from you.

"Nobody else. You. You should demand more from yourself."
