Diego Costa has hilariously claimed he'd crunch his own mother with a slide tackle if it meant winning a game for Atletico Mineiro.
The Spaniard enjoyed a lengthy career in Europe and is best known for his spells with Atletico Madrid as well as Chelsea.
He's now made his way to Brazil with Mineiro and has endeared himself to fans immediately with comments at his unveiling.

Per TV Galo, Costa said: "Eu quero ganhar. Se tiver minha mãe dentro de campo, eu vou ter que dar nela também."
That roughly translates to: "If my mother was on the pitch and I had to beat her to win, I would. I'm going to do everything to win."
He's still the Diego Costa we all know and in some cases, love.

Costa is a master of the dark arts and made a name for himself as a fearless striker who had a temper.
The 32-year-old hasn't played a game since December after leaving Madrid for a second time and he'll likely have to ease back to his old ways.
Will he calm down for good though? Not likely.

He explained at his official unveiling: “There will be no lack of dedication, running and of course, goals.
“After so many years in Europe, I dreamed of playing Brazilian football and nowhere better than here, a team with tradition... I hope it is a blessed year full of titles.”
During Costa's time in England, he won two Premier League titles and the Carabao Cup and had good fun doing so.
His power and physical presence gave Chelsea a perfect focal point for the rest of the team to play off.
Costa was a stone-cold killer in front of goal, bagging 20 goals in his first season in the English top flight.

He also scored the second goal in the League Cup win over Spurs at Wembley, further cementing his place as a player for the clutch moments.
Costa would then fire Chelsea to another league title two years later when he hit 21 goals for Antonio Conte's 2016/17 title-winners before eventually falling out with the Italian.
He returned to the Spanish capital in 2018 and left a lasting impact on English football.
