Dimitar Berbatov believes the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo has left one Manchester United player in an 'unfair situation,' and he could leave in January.

United's transfer business looked over in the summer after they splashed the cash on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, two players they desperately wanted.
Then on transfer deadline day they signed Cristiano Ronaldo, 12 years after he left the club, and the Portugal striker has proved a huge hit back at Old Trafford, scoring 13 goals in all competitions.
However, whilst Ronaldo's signing has been a boost to most at the club, Berbatov believes that it's been 'unfair' on Edinson Cavani and urged the Uruguayan to leave the club.
"Despite a good season last time out, Cavani hasn't played enough," the former United striker told Betfair.

"When someone like Ronaldo comes into the club, he takes all the spotlight, he plays every game and in the world of football this happens.
"It's not a fair situation because Cavani did so well for the team last season, he earned a new deal but Ronaldo has taken his place in the team. It's not fair but this happens in football.
"If there's a chance for Cavani to leave the club, if there is an offer from Barcelona, then of course he will be thinking about taking it to get more football.

"And if he will get more game time in La Liga then I will support him and say 'Go there and play, it sounds like a great deal, great money and you're not 24 anymore.'"
Cavani was initially signed on a one year contract and looked like he might leave in the summer, until he was persuaded to stay for another year and be the team's first choice striker.
Ronaldo's signing, injuries and issues with having to quarantine on the return from national team service have cut down on his game time.

The 34-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club in January, and can leave for free in the summer, but has reportedly already turned down one club.
In the summer it was thought the former PSG forward would move to Boca Juniors but this time round he's apparently turned them down as he hoped to move to Barcelona.
The Spanish giants are expected to sign Ferran Torres from Manchester City shortly and that could rule out a further move for Cavani next month.

If that doesn't happen there could be another option in South America, with Brazil side Corinthians also linked with the former Napoli man.
