Erling Haaland Is Still Without An Official Boot Sponsor, Wears Three Different Brands

Erling Haaland has been wearing three different brands of football boots in recent months despite not having an official contract with any of them.

Since he exploded onto the scene and quickly developed into one of the deadliest strikers in world football, Haaland has been banging in the goals with Nike Mercurials.

However, the Norwegian man mountain's lucrative €1 million-a-year contract with Nike expired in January and so Haaland has essentially been a free agent since the start of the year.

Despite no longer being a Nike athlete, the 21-year-old has continued to wear their boots in games for club and country.

In addition, Haaland has also been sporting Nike trainers such as Air Max and Dunks.

But at the same time, the former Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund man has been training in Adidas X Speedflow boots and even wearing their sportswear.

That's not all, though. Haaland's huge move to Manchester City was officially confirmed on Monday morning and the announcement video saw him recreate a previous picture of him in a City shirt.

This time he was in City's brand new Puma home strip and even had the German sportswear giants' boots on.

The eagle-eyed Footy Headlines have noticed Haaland was wearing the Manchester City Puma Ultras cleats to complete the look.

But the boots were blacked-out so branding was not overly visible.

It had been widely reported previously that Haaland was at the centre of a boot bidding war from both Puma and Adidas and they were prepared to thrash out a long-term deal worth £50 million.

In April, Goal said PUMA, who have a £650 million, ten-year contract for manufacturing City's kits, were in pole position to land Haaland.

Haaland has followed in the footsteps of his father, Alf-Inge, in signing a five-year contract with City.

He is expected to earn around £375,000-a-week, with his squad number yet to be revealed.
