Everton take on Chelsea today in the opening weekend of the Premier League season and both sides will be looking to kickstart their campaign with a win.
The two clubs have been under significant pressure in the transfer window for different reasons.
While Frank Lampard’s side have invested in James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil from Burnley, with wing-back Ruben Vinagre also arriving after a spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out for six weeks, the Merseyside outfit will be desperate to bring in a striker in the remainder of the window.
The match will be officiated by Kevin Friend, who takes charge of his 39th Chelsea fixture and his 37th Everton fixture.
The Blues have won 21 of their previous 38 matches under his supervision, whilst Everton have won 16.
Friend will be assisted by Andy Holmes and Simon Beck as the linesmen, with fourth official Andy Madley - who will move from lead duties at Craven Cottage for Fulham vs. Liverpool to keeping Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel in check at Goodison.
John Brooks is the VAR official, and Mark Scholes is his assistant.
