Fan Compiles 'Highlights' Package Of Darwin Nunez Against Crystal Palace

Nunez hasn't had a great start to his pre season with his performances against two Premier League teams, with the second coming vs Palace.

Darwin Nunez was accused of dropping another 'disasterclass,' as Liverpool beat fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace in a pre season friendly.

Nunez is a new signing at Liverpool and will eventually become the club's most expensive players, once add ons are paid to Benfica.

Jurgen Klopp has defended himself from paying as much as the club have for the former Benfica striker, having previously said he would never spend so much.

The Uruguayan's first appearance in a Liverpool shirt came earlier this week, as the Champions League runners up faced Manchester United in a pre season friendly, with United surprisingly coming out as 4-0 winners.

It was not a great 'debut,' and use that word lightly seeing as it was a friendly, with the 23-year-old missing one particularly easy shot.

On Friday, he had the chance to redeem himself somewhat, as Klopp's side face Crystal Palace in Singapore, in their second pre season friendly of the summer.

As in the previous game, the manager essentially used three different teams in the game, so Nunez came on at half time, before being subbed off in the 78th minute.

He didn't use the 33 minutes to particularly good effect however, as he once again missed a chance and put on a bit of a 'disasterclass.'

One fan put together a video of Nunez's personal highlights, and it's not something he'll want to look back on too fondly.

"Liverpool signed a merge of Lukaku and Werner in one body in Darwin Nunez, next season will be too funny," one Chelsea fan with very recent memories of flop strikers said.

"Twitter will destroy this guy ihn Liverpool career before it even begins," another fan added.

"Already a flop. We dodged a MASSIVE BULLET here," a Manchester United fan claimed, even though his side will be starting Anthony Martial upfront next season at this rate.

A third joked, "Maybe he is a defender that had one good season as a striker," making fun of his ability to stop his own side scoring.

"How much was he signed for?" queried another fan.

Many fans also compared Nunez to Andy Carroll, with the pair both sporting ponytails, but it's still unlikely he will flop like the former Newcastle United striker did, when he was signed as Fernando Torres' replacement.

Nunez did put in a generally improved performance against Palace, compared to the one against United, despite a couple of bad moments.

He will be under the spotlight when the Premier League begins in three weeks time, and will no doubt be constantly compared to Erling Haaland, but he comes to England having scored 34 goals last season and will be full of confidence.

The Reds were improved on Friday and Jordan Henderson gave them a lead in just the 12th minute, before Mohamed Salah doubled the lead just after half time.
