What is FIFA 22 Division Rivals?

Division Rivals is an online seasonal competition that can be played either on Solos or Co-Op, so you've got the option of how you want to play, with a mate or not.

The game mode is based on a skill driven rank system. Simply, the better you are, the harder your opponents.

Win matches to climb the ladder and you'll increase your rank, division and then you'll be playing for FIFA's top rewards.

How long does each Division Rivals season last?

Every Division Rivals season will last the duration of an Ultimate Team season, and that's about six weeks. So you have plenty of time to win games.

What's different about Division Rivals on FIFA 22?

This year, a ladder system has been introduced. This means the way in which you go through the divisions and earn rewards is different, and that's definitely worth paying attention to.

Each division is now made up of three different aspects:

Ranks

Your rank will reflect how you're getting on in a division and as you move up, your rewards will get tastier.

Stages

Stages are what they say they are, they are the parts in between. With each stage you get to, you move towards a new rank. Winning a game will move you forward one stage, drawing keeps you at your current point and losing moves you back one, unless you reach a checkpoint.

Checkpoints

Checkpoints are your safe point. If you ever played Crash Bandicoot on PlayStation 1 as a kid, you'll know this all too well. They prevent you from going any further back than the point you've reached.

When do Divisional Rivals rewards come out on FIFA 22?

The key question. When can you cash in on those rewards? They come out every single Thursday but in terms of timing, it will of course depend on the country you live in, but if you're in the UK it is 8am.

Divisional Rivals rewards are both weekly and seasonal.
