Lads officially complete FIFA Pro Clubs after going 501 games unbeaten

A FIFA Pro Clubs team won 500 games and drew one in an incredible run.

A group of lads have officially completed Pro Clubs after they went on an incredible 501-game unbeaten run.

The popular FIFA online game mode allows you to play alongside your mates in the same team and go up against other clubs from around the world.

The dream is to go from division 10 all the way to the very top but it's an almighty task.

Somehow, YouTuber Nathan Curtis and his mates, playing for their club 'I Trap Vibes I', have done the unthinkable and put the 'Pro' in Pro Clubs.

Together, the nine-person strong squad, made up of players rated from 85 to 88, have not tasted defeat on FIFA 22 - beating every single other club they played on PlayStation.

In 64 seasons, they recorded 500 victories, a single draw and zero losses. The draw came at 328-0 and the team then displayed a crazy level of consistency to well and truly complete clubs.

Overall, 2067 goals were scored - an average of 4.13 per game and just 220 conceded - giving an average of 0.44 per fixture.

"It’s pretty crazy to be honest, we had a few other good records before but I never thought we would get close to 500-0," Nathan told SPORTbible.

"I’ve got around 500 hours played on pro clubs this FIFA but some of the people we play with have around 3000 hours played this FIFA.

"Our club is around 850th in the world ranking as it’s based on games played and wins and other clubs have thousands of wins but with draws and losses. In terms of player leaderboards our Any is 6th and our striker is 23rd, the rest of us are 1000th or higher in our respective positions.

"We obviously congratulate each other at every ‘milestone’ but I don’t think we’ve fully grasped how crazy our record is. Only a handful of teams can get 100-0+, let alone 500."

The numbers are absolutely staggering considering many struggle to create that chemistry in the mode. So what are the secrets to the success?

"A lot of quick passing in combination with skill moves and green timing shots in attack," Nathan explained.

"Defensively it's highly effective to have a CDM that plays the ‘sweeper’ role and sits behind the CBs to stop through balls, then having an Any and two CM’s to press. We used the 4-1-2-1-2(2) formation and play with either five or six players. CDM, CMs, CAM, ST [striker] and an Any who is also ST."

Nathan describes the one solitary dropping of points as a "really frustrating game", and one which they conceded an "annoying" goal where the ball basically went through the centre-back. Yet that wasn't the closest they come to losing.

"We were losing 3-1 in the 75th minute one game but we ended up turning it around and making it 5-3 in the 92nd minute," he revealed.

"A few other times we had to score late goals to get the win, including the very last game for 500-0. We were drawing 1-1 in 88th minute but finally managed to score again."

FIFA 22 will soon become FIFA 23, with the final iteration of the series released in late September before it becomes 'EA Sports FC'.

Nathan and his crew are ready to do it all over again.

"[We are] feeling very confident of course as we haven’t lost in months but each year the game changes and we all have to adapt, hopefully we can replicate a record like this again. I don’t see any reason why we can’t."
