The official reveal trailer for FIFA 23 has been released and the game is described as being "the most expansive title to date".
It's been confirmed that FIFA 23 will be the final edition under its current iteration. With the partnership between EA Sports and FIFA coming to an end, the game will be known as 'EA Sports FC' going forward.
But all the stops are being pulled out for FIFA 23, which includes "the most advanced gameplay" and "deepest modes" in the franchise's history as well cross-play features for those with next-gen consoles.

There are 19,000 players from more than 700 teams and over 30 leagues and now there's also the monumental and wholly necessary addition of women's club sides with the Barclays Women’s Super League in England and France's Division 1 Arkema.
The move to introduce club sides from the women's game comes after Australia and Chelsea star Sam Kerr became the first female player to feature on a global FIFA cover.
“I’m delighted that the Barclays Women’s Super League will be one of the first women’s club competitions to feature in EA SPORTS FIFA 23, with the franchise historically having one of the largest and most engaged gaming communities in the world,” The FA’s Commercial Director Navin Singh commented on the news.

This very much supports our ambition to accelerate the growth of the women’s game in England, and highlights our commitment to open up the Barclays Women’s Super League, and make it even more accessible, to new audiences around the globe.”
For the first time ever, gamers will be able to play both the men's and women's World Cups - Qatar this year and Australia and New Zealand next year - in the same game, with more details on that coming in due course.
Female players move authentically through the Hypermotion 2 technology - available on the newer consoles - which includes a FIFA-first motion capture of a high-intensity 11v11 women’s match - and data from five training drills - to bring about "more high-fidelity, true-to-life animations".
Overall, from both the male and female captures, there are more than 6000 HyperMotion-enabled animations that make players "move and play more responsively and realistically than ever before".
In terms of other advancements, there is also a new technical dribbling system, acceleration mechanics, a whole new variety of passing options, more natural and fluid shooting, redesigned set pieces, updated on-pitch physics, enhanced player awareness and much more.

EA say further improvements have been made to Career Mode, Pro Clubs, VOLTA FOOTBALL, and FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, while the new Training Center coaching system has been designed to help the new and less experienced players to the key elements of gameplay and features a number of chapters to help you get up to speed.
Moreover, EA have confirmed that PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S Stadia, and PC versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible and the same applying to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
FIFA 23 will be released worldwide on 30 September, with early access for the Ultimate Edition beginning three days earlier.
