More or less every player in the starting XI was seen belting out the song but the Liverpool defender stood there unmoved.
And with the fixture coinciding with the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Alexander-Arnold was slammed by a section of fans on social media.

However, plenty of Liverpool fans enjoyed the refusal from their right-back.
And in response, somebody has shared a clip of former Manchester United skipper Neville not singing the anthem at Euro '96.
Neville, capped 85 times for England, did not join teammates like Gareth Southgate, Tony Adams and Stuart Pearce in passionately singing the tune.

The clip has accrued over 50,000 views and there was plenty of reaction to Southgate, now of course England manager, absolutely going for it.

Last month, prior to the FA Cup final win over Chelsea, Liverpool fans caused a stir when they booed the national anthem as well as the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.
In response, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told media: "The people do not do it for no reason".
The disdain in the Merseyside area is directly related to the Conservative government's management of the city in the 1980s and the Hillsborough disaster, where 97 Liverpool fans died, in 1989.
England's record goalscorer Wayne Rooney wasn't a regular singer of the national anthem, having never learned the words.

Responding to criticism of him not doing so, an FA spokesperson said: "Whether a player wishes to sing the national anthem or not is purely a personal choice.
"The reasons behind Wayne Rooney's decision not to sing is down to him.
"We know that every player certainly does care passionately and has enormous pride playing for England."
