Manchester City midfielder David Silva turns 35-years-old today and it's worth remembering the legendary Premier League career he forged.

Despite an initially slow start after arriving from Valencia, the pint-sized Spaniard has since cemented his place as City's greatest ever player and one of the best ever to kick a ball in English football.

Silva has played a starring role in four Premier League title triumphs with City - even doing so with three different hairstyles - as well as lifting two FA Cups and five League Cups in sky blue.

In 436 games as a City player, Silva scored 77 goals and assisted teammates on 141 occasions.

He's already been voted as the best Spanish player ever to play in the English top flight and the below compilation just shows what a joy to watch Silva has been in his decade playing on these shores.

The sublime control, the effortless technique, the wand of a left-foot, the vision and awareness to pull off a pass nobody even thought was possible - Silva has been and utter revelation and it's been a pleasure to watch him strut his stuff.

A consummate professional and a player who has maintained a frightening level of consistency over the years, former City captain Silva departed the club during the summer.

He is now strutting his stuff with Real Sociedad back in La Liga and has managed to help them break into the top four.

Silva said last year: "I have had quite a few offers, but I have decided on the Real one because it is a club that is doing things very well and the style suits me very well.

"I already know San Sebastian, from when I was in Eibar a long time ago, and it is a beautiful and quiet area. My family has taken a big part in the decision."
