Cristiano Ronaldo will not be stopped from taking Juventus' free kicks despite his horrific record since joining.

Since signing from Real Madrid in 2018, he has taken 29 free-kicks for 'The Old Lady' and has failed to score all of them.

Seven have been saved and two have missed the target.

Twenty of them have hit the wall but two of those have managed to make it through after striking.

But Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri refused to be drawn into a debate on who should take free kicks for the reigning Serie A champions.

Speaking in a press conference on Friday, the Italian said per ESPN:

"The free kicks? We have two right-footed options on the pitch: him [Pjanic] and Ronaldo. So they will have to decide among themselves who takes them, as happens in just about any other side."

Miralem Pjanic is one of the most prolific free-kick takers in world football and is only rivaled by Lionel Messi.

The Bosnian midfielder is highly regarded by Juventus fans and is seen as one of their best players.

But he seems to have stepped aside to allow 'CR7' the honours of taking set-pieces.

Paulo Dybala is another Juve man who's also capable of whipping in a fierce dead-ball.

Despite Ronaldo being known for his amazing free-kicks, he isn't exactly prolific.

The 34-year-old had a similarly poor record with national side Portugal.

He failed to score a free-kick in his first 44 tournament games for his nation.

He managed to break that duck at last years World Cup in their first game 3-3 thriller against Spain.

Juventus are still unbeaten and top Serie A ahead of Inter Milan by one point.

Considering Antonio Conte's side seem set to challenge all the way to the end this season, maybe some of these missed free-kicks could come back to haunt Juve.
