Thomas Muller Makes Incredible ‘Windy Night In Stoke’ Reference In Post-Match Interview

Bayern Munich star is at it again in his post-match interviews...

Thomas 'Lewangoalski' Muller is at it again with a weird reference to windy nights in Stoke after Bayern Munich's 3-1 win at Stuttgart.

The man who's becoming SPORTbible's hero for the sheer amount of lunacy he can deliver in a post-match interview may have delivered his best line yet.

"How do the British people say it?" Muller asked Bundesliga journalist Archie Rhind-Tutt "You have to show it on a windy night in Stoke.

"Today it is not windy and Stuttgart is not Stoke but Stuttgart is a team that plays very well in the last weeks."

So apart from it being not windy and Stuttgart being nothing like Stoke... we can see the German superstar's point?

Let's assume that Muller is gamely trying to refer to the British cliche that it's hard to perform on a rainy night at the once forbidding Bet365 Stadium (at least during the Tony Pulis era).

But frankly with a comparison this nonsensical, we reckon Muller has a bright future as a pundit on British TV, potentially sitting on a sofa alongside Garth Crooks.

At least it was fairly straightforward for Muller and his teammates on the pitch. German champions Bayern came back from a goal down to ease to a 3-1 victory thanks to strikes from Kingsley Coman, Robert Lewandowski and Douglas Costa.

Bayern now sit top of the Bundesliga table, two points above RB Leipzig.

The 31-year-old Muller is also top of our table of the footballers we most want to hear from. His Road Runner impression in honour of teammate Alphonso Davies was clearly only the start.

Next up it'll be Donald Duck impressions and Miller telling us Lewandoski has "a good touch for a big man" in Queen's English - and we cannot wait to hear it.
