Chelsea have matched Paris Saint-Germain's offer of £56.1 million for Inter Milan wing-back Achraf Hakimi.
The Morocco international is set to leave Inter after just one season following the departure of manager Antonio Conte last month.

Sky in Italy have reported Chelsea could be leading the race due to Inter's interest in two Blues defenders - Emerson and Andreas Christensen.
Chelsea's initial offer is still short of Inter's asking price however, with Hakimi valued at £68 million after an impressive campaign.
The 22-year-old scored seven times and registered 10 assists as 'Nerazzurri' clinched their first title in a decade.

He arrived from Real Madrid after a successful two-year loan spell with Borussia Dortmund.
Hakimi can play on either side and is suited to a back three formation - something Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has used to great success.
Left-back Ben Chilwell arrived from Leicester City in a deal worth £50 million last summer, while academy graduate Reece James has excelled since coming into the team.

Chelsea won the Champions League after defeating Manchester City and Tuchel has been rewarded with a new contract until 2024.
With that comes a promise of investment, and another young target this summer is Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland is in demand after netting 41 goals for Dortmund in all competitions last season.

According to Jan Aage Fjortoft, Chelsea are hopeful of bringing the Norwegian to Stamford Bridge.
Fjortoft said on Twitter: "Chelsea working intense (sic) to get Erling Haaland. He is seen as the 'missing' player to make them challenge for the PL title next season.
"Fee very high, but confidence that this can be solved. The main obstacle could be the wage-structure at Chelsea."
The Telegraph claim Chelsea are open to including Tammy Abraham in a potential deal.

Abraham has fallen out of favour under Tuchel and didn't make the squad for the FA Cup final or Champions League final.
