Adidas move further ahead of Nike after poaching player in stunning move

Adidas are dominating the football boot space at the moment and have moved further ahead of Nike.

Adidas have moved further ahead of Nike in the football boots game after securing yet another huge signing.

The three-stripe brand recently announced an all new Predator 24 boot to mark 30 years of the iconic cleats.

They are a perfect blend of the Touch, Accelerator, Powerswerve, X, Adipower and Mutator models, putting a modern twist on a classic.

Jude Bellingham is the face of the boots and is reportedly set to get his own logo.

The Predator re-release prompted many to believe they were leaving Nike in the dust, and now Adidas have confirmed that they have snapped up Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.

The former Real Madrid man has been with Nike since he made his professional debut back in 2011.

He started out wearing CTR 360s before settling on Nike Phantom.

However, he has now switched to Adidas Predators and debuted them in United's game against Aston Villa.

Nike are clamping down on costs, recently announcing they plan to save $2 billion over the next three years.

And Casemiro joins a number of players who have gone from Nike to Adidas, following teammate Lisandro Martinez, Ousmane Dembele, Lamine Yamal and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The details of Casemiro's deal have not been disclosed but he is now set to feature in campaigns and adverts going forward.
