Carabao Cup draw recap: Liverpool face tough Anfield test, Chelsea and Newcastle in all-Premier League showdown

Live updates from the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw.

Chelsea will face Newcastle in the marquee tie of the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, with Liverpool drawn to host West Ham at home.

EFL sides Middlesbrough and Port Vale booked their place in the last eight on Tuesday night, and they will face off in the quarter-finals for a spot in the final four.

Everton vs Fulham is the final, all-Premier League tie of the round.

Wednesday's fourth round action saw some major results, with Newcastle beating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Everton defeated Burnley at Goodison Park by the same scoreline, while Liverpool beat Bournemouth 2-1 in horrific weather conditions on the south coast.

There were slightly better conditions at Portman Road as Ipswich lost 3-1 to Fulham, while West Ham beat Arsenal by the same scoreline to end the Gunners' unbeaten run in domestic competitions this season.

Chelsea, meanwhile, secured a relatively comfortable 2-0 win over Blackburn through goals from Raheem Sterling and the returning Benoit Badashile.

A recap of live updates from the draw can be seen below.
