Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland given brutal L'Equipe match ratings after Real Madrid vs Man City

Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland were both rinsed by L'Equipe in their brutal match ratings from Real Madrid's stunning 3-3 draw with Manchester City.

The two sides played out another thrilling Champions League contest and it is all to play for in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu next week.

There were stunning goals from Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Federico Valverde but L'Equipe lived up to their reputation as harsh markers with their scores.

The French outlet gave Bellingham a 3/10 for his display, which they believe was his "worst since arriving at Real" in an £88 million summer switch.

The England international couldn't quite put his stamp on the game and received the very same rating as his former Borussia Dortmund colleague Erling Haaland.

After struggling up against Antonio Rudiger once again at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Norwegian was named the "flop of the match".

L'Equipe said Haaland "confirmed his immense difficulties in very high level matches" and was "extinguished" by Rudiger.

Haaland was given two rare 10/10 ratings in last season's treble-winning season but the verdict on Tuesday was that he "is not progressing enough in the way he connects to City's game".

Foden, UEFA's Man of the Match award recipient, was praised for his "truly beautiful" goal and got City's highest rating with a 7/10.

Overall, Real goalscorer Edouardo Camavinga was deemed to be the top performer on the night.

He was handed a 8/10 to "reflect his destruction in all four corners of the field throughout a huge match".

Vinicius and Rodrygo got sixes and sevens respectively, with Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias both graded 4/10.

Bernardo Silva, who bagged the opener with a clever free-kick, got a respectable six for being "undoubtedly City's most consistent player".

Reigning European champions City take on Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday, before hosting Real on Wednesday April 17.
