Thiago Silva’s wife posts restaurant bill to show how much footballers spend after a match

Thiago Silva’s wife posts restaurant bill to show how much footballers spend after a match

Thiago Silva starred as Chelsea advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup

Thiago Silva’s wife, Isabelle da Silva, has given a glimpse into what a footballer spends after playing a match.

On Saturday, Chelsea welcomed Championship side Preston North End to Stamford Bridge for a third-round FA Cup tie.

Goals in the second half from Silva, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling and Enzo Fernandez sealed a comfortable 4-0 win for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

After the match, Silva’s wife Isabelle took to social media to post a picture of their restaurant bill as they celebrated the victory in style.

Accompanying the picture of the bill, the caption read: “A simple family dinner.”

Silva and his family were dining at the upscale Novikov restaurant in London and racked up a bill costing £900.30.

Some of the most expensive dishes the Silva family ordered at the Novikov restaurant include a king crab leg which is worth £95 and a peaking duck priced at £85.

Speaking after the match, Pochettino revealed that Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku has suffered a new injury blow.

He said: “It’s really tough. The circumstances are really tough from the beginning of the season. Broja, Nkunku, Lavia, sometimes it is difficult to explain for the fans.

“Like Nkunku, we don’t want to put pressure on him, because we know after a long time injured always it is difficult to come back and start to perform. After six months away from the competition it is always tough.”

He continued: “Now he wasn’t involved because he suffered some problem in his hip after training yesterday and now we need to check and see if it will be possible for him to be ready for the next few games.

“That is the problem, they need game time to get their best and sometimes we cannot provide this game time to players who need to feel the competition, because in the end we are Chelsea, we need to win.”
