For the first time in his professional career, Germany and Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane has received a red card.
The 27-year-old, who has been in fine form for club and country this season, had previously gone 402 games without a red during spells at Manchester City and Schalke, as well as the previously mentioned clubs.
But on Tuesday night, the winger was sent for an early bath after he shoved defender Phillipp Mwene in their international friendly against Austria.

As you can see from the footage below, Sane appeared to accidentally trip Mwene in the 49th minute.
But after the Austria full-back took offence to the challenge, Sane reacted by pushing both hands into Mwene's face, which was deemed a red card offence by referee Slavko Vincic.
A furious Sane, who had to be held back by Austria's David Alaba after the incident, eventually made his way down the Ernst-Happel-Stadion touchline.

Germany were already 1-0 down at the time of Sane's dismissal after Marcel Sabitzer opened the scoring just before the half hour mark.
And Ralf Rangnick's side doubled their lead in the 73rd minute through RB Leipzig midfielder Christoph Baumgartner.
In other news, Liverpool have reportedly identified Sane as their first choice target to replace Mohamed Salah.

That being said, reigning Premier League champions Manchester City have also arrived on the scene and are interested in resigning the German next summer, according to German news outlet Bild.
Sane previously revealed he chose to join City over Liverpool in 2016.
"Yes, I was also talking with them [Liverpool]. Jurgen was calling me too, talking to me. That was before I joined City," Sane told the Guardian in 2018.
"He did a good job at [Borussia] Dortmund – I met him when he was there. He's a good guy, nice guy - honest. He [has] worked well with Liverpool."
