Ilkay Gundogan caught in brutal moment with teammates at Ballon d'Or ceremony, it's damning

Ilkay Gundogan seemed to walk away from a team photo.

Ilkay Gundogan appeared to leave a Barcelona squad photo in a damning snub at the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Gundogan captained Manchester City to the treble season as the Blues won the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup.

But he called time on his career at the Etihad, securing a move to Barca last summer.

Man City won the Men's Club of the Year at the Ballon d'Or ceremony as Gundogan did not go up on the stage following his summer transfer.

He was involved in another controversial moment in Paris as he seemed to walk off during a photo opportunity. Check it out below:

The German midfielder was posing with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Alejandro Balde as well as president Joan Laporta and vice-president Rafa Yuste.

However, the 33-year-old walked away from the photo opportunity, stunning Balde who cut a confused figure.

It comes just days after Gundogon hit out at his teammates for their reaction to the crushing defeat to Real Madrid last weekend as Jude Bellingham grabbed a dramatic winner.

Speaking after the 2-1 defeat at the Camp Nou, he said: "I have to be honest, not as much as I wish because I don't want to say something wrong, but I was in the dressing room and of course people are disappointed

"But especially after such a big game and a result that is so unnecessary, I wish for more frustration, more anger and more disappointment. This is a little bit the problem."

Gundogan added: "There has to be more emotion, especially when you lose and when you know you can perform better, do better in certain situations and you just don't react.

"It transfers to the pitch at the end of the day. We need to make a huge step in that because otherwise Real Madrid or even Girona are going to run away. I didn't come here to lose this type of game or to let a gap create."

Gundogan, who scored in his side's El Clasico loss, will hope Barca bounce back against Real Sociedad on Saturday.
