Lionel Messi reportedly broke Major League Soccer rules for the second time after Inter Miami’s clash with Nashville SC on Wednesday night.

Back in July, Messi made the shock move to ditch European football by leaving French giants Paris Saint Germain for MLS side Inter Miami.

Messi was then joined by former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba in Miami.

The Argentine has since inspired his team to a 10-match unbeaten run.

On Wednesday night, Inter Miami played out a 0-0 draw with Nashville. After the match, it was reported by the Daily Mail that Messi broke MLS rules for the second time by not speaking to the media.

Last weekend, it was claimed that Messi was made unavailable after his MLS debut against the New York Red Bulls.

The report from the Daily Mail stated that a match report from the Miami Herald did not include any post-match quotes from the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.

If Messi was made available and he did not speak to the media, it is a violation of the league’s media rules.

Prior to the Red Bulls match, the MLS’s executive vice president of communications, Dan Courtemanche said that all players, including Messi are required to be available to speak to the media after matches.

It is currently unclear whether Inter Miami or Messi will face any sanctions from the MLS for the violation last weekend or for the violation on Wednesday night.

SPORTbible has reached out to Inter Miami CF for comment.

Since arriving at Miami, Messi has managed to score 11 goals in 10 matches, whilst also providing three assists.

Wednesday night’s match against Nashville was the first time Inter Miami has failed to score since Messi made his debut against Cruz Azul on July 22.

Inter Miami will be back in MLS action on Monday as they take on LAFC.
