Liverpool are set to allow Sven-Goran Eriksson the opportunity to manage Liverpool in a charity match.
Eriksson will fulfil his lifelong dream of managing a Liverpool team at Anfield, joining the the management staff for next month’s legends game against Ajax.
The 76-year-old recently admitted he is suffering from pancreatic cancer and may only have a year to live.

During the outpouring of support for Eriksson, it emerged that the former England boss regretted that he had not ever managed Liverpool, the team that he and his father supported.
That prompted the idea of Eriksson taking charge of Liverpool Legends when they host Ajax Legends in a charity game on March 23.
The Swede will join Liverpool icons Ian Rush, John Barnes and John Aldridge in delivering the team talk before taking his place in the dugout.

Several of the Reds' Champions League winning squad from 2005 are set to feature in the game, including Jerzy Dudek and Djibril Cissé, while striker Ryan Babel’s affiliation with both clubs means he will feature for both sides.
Eriksson will be accompanied by his family for the trip.
He has also been invited by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to spend a day at the club’s training complex.
Eriksson's 42-year career in management saw him become the first foreign coach to manage England, whom he led to the quarter-finals of the 2002 and 2006 World Cups and Euro 2004.

At club level, Eriksson had spells in England with Manchester City and Leicester, while he had massive success at Serie A side Lazio, where he won seven trophies, including the Scudetto, two Italian Cups and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.
Last month Eriksson said: "My father is still a Liverpool supporter and I am a Liverpool supporter too, always have been.
"So I always wished to be the manager of Liverpool and that will not happen, but I'm still a Liverpool fan."
