Three unconventional experts Jurgen Klopp has brought in at Liverpool to bring them into title contention

Three unconventional experts Jurgen Klopp has brought in at Liverpool to bring them into title contention

The Anfield side are firmly in the Premier League title race in Klopp's final campaign in charge

Liverpool are firmly in the conversation for the Premier League title in what will be Jurgen Klopp's final campaign in charge of the club.

The 56-year-old will depart the Anfield club at the end of this season to end almost a decade in charge of the Reds which has brought Liverpool back to English football's upper echelons.

Klopp has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, two League Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in his time at the club.

The German's final season in charge at Anfield will have at least one trophy won in it after the League Cup victory over Chelsea last month.

Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League table after Dawin Nunez's dramatic 99th minute winner over Nottingham Forest.

They face a fight with Manchester City and Arsenal for the top flight crown, as Klopp aims to leave Liverpool on a high with a second Premier League trophy.

But Klopp, who told the club hierarchy he will be leaving last November, believes the time was right to go and leaves Liverpool in the right place.

He told the club website: "For me it was super, super, super-important that I can help to bring this team back onto the rails. It was all I was thinking about.

"When I realised pretty early that happened, it’s a really good team with massive potential and a super age group, super characters and all that, then I could start thinking about myself again and that was the outcome.

"It is not what I want to [do], it is just what I think is 100 per cent right."

And it has now emerged that Klopp has enlisted the help of three key figures from a range of different areas to speak to those at the club which has helped to inspire Liverpool's title charge.

According to the Daily Mail, German triathlete Jan Frodeno, who has won an Olympic gold medal, is one of them.

The other two include Kevin Roberts, former CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, who has spoken to the club's coaching staff about a winning culture, and also a group of neuroscientists called Neuro11 who have given their guidance on how to remain calm during matches.

And with the Anfield club at the Premier League's summit, it is hard to argue the moved have not been worthwhile.
