Kyle Walker names Man City's biggest boozer and it's not Jack Grealish

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has revealed the biggest party animal in Pep Guardiola's squad and recounts their treble celebrations.

Kyle Walker has revealed the Manchester City star who loves to party the most and despite what many would think, it's not Jack Grealish.

In order to be a professional footballer in the Premier League you have to sacrifice a lot of the simple joys most other people can treat themselves to, whether it be a takeaway or a night out.

However, in certain circumstances even the most elite athletes can let loose and the Man City squad have had a better reason than most to do so in the last year.

In the 2022/23 season, Pep Guardiola's men became only the second team ever to win the treble, as they matched the achievement of the 1999 Manchester United squad.

Following their achievement the squad headed on a rather extravagant celebration that ultimately led to their city centre parade which had its fair share of viral moments.

England international Jack Grealish was at the heart of the media's coverage when it came to City's celebrations, but Kyle Walker has set the record straight on who is the real party animal in the City dressing room.

Speaking on the FIVE podcast with Rio Ferdinand, Walker said: "John loves it [a party]. But he doesn’t drink all season"

The City right-back also revealed his fellow Yorkshireman doesn't even mix his drinks, and will just have bottles of spirits straight.

"We went to Abu Dhabi, he had a little go then. But when he goes, it's bottles. It's no mixers, it's just a bottle of tequila, a bottle of jaeger and he’ll just drink that straight. Just 'give me the bottle' and he drinks it," Walker hilariously explained.

"I absolutely love it, how high is the high when you're celebrating with the lads? We stretch [nights out] to probably three days."

Despite the squad achieving one of the most impressive feats ever seen in English football, the team came under a fair bit of scrutiny for their 'excessive' celebrations.

As previously mentioned, Jack Grealish was the City star who received the most backlash for his antics, but the winger took to talkSPORT to defend himself at the time.

"Not really. I'd done something that comes around once in a lifetime. The last time it was done… I don't know when Man United did it, but it hasn't been done for ages," Grealish argued.
