Kyle Walker reveals the demand Pep Guardiola makes to every Man City player, no exceptions

Kyle Walker has revealed the strict rule every Manchester City player must follow under manager Pep Guardiola.

Walker joined City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 in a deal worth £50 million - making him the most expensive full-back in the world.

He's become one of Guardiola's most trusted players at the Etihad Stadium.

The England international has made 282 appearances for City, winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League.

On Monday evening, Walker was named in the FIFA FIFPRO's Men's World 11 alongside City teammates Ruben Dias, John Stones, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland.

The club won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League last season to complete a historic treble. Since then, they've also won the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.

It's an era of unrivalled success under Guardiola, who will go down as the greatest coach of his generation.

He cuts a serious figure on the touchline and demands near perfection from all of his players. Despite that, Walker claims he hates to be called 'Boss'.

Speaking alongside Guardiola and Dias as the Spaniard collected his The Best FIFA Men's Coach award, the England international said: "First of all, good evening everyone.

"It's a great honour to be here. Personally, for me, for Ruben. We're representing everyone. To honour the boss.

"He doesn't like me to call him boss, he likes me to call him Pep.

"To work with Pep day in, day out for seven years now has been a great honour.

"He's taught me a lot on the field. The player I was when I joined from Tottenham to now Man City is, I'd say, a great thing.

"For me to be here on this stage with this trophy in my hand is a big success to him as well."

City are currently second in the Premier League table following a dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

They return to action in the FA Cup fourth round against Tottenham Hotspur on January 26.
