Fans think Man City should have been down to 10 men vs Chelsea after officials 'miss' key decision

They're not happy.

Fans think Manchester City should have been down to 10 men in the encounter against Chelsea.

City drew with Chelsea 4-4 in a thrilling Sunday evening Premier League encounter, with Cole Palmer converting a 94th minute equaliser from the spot.

And in a game marred with several controversial refereeing decisions, Chelsea fans on social media have claimed they believe City's Kyle Walker should have been sent off.

City keeper Ederson kicked the ball at Walker's hand from close range in the 78th minute.

Chelsea fans believe Walker should have been sent off, having already been brandished a yellow card earlier in the game.

Writing on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter, one person wrote: "Kyle Walker handball which the ref or the linesman did nothing, even Walker’s reaction showed he was guilty."

Another said: "Walker handball today and Rodri handball at Goodison. Why don’t City just dribble the ball like basketball?"

A third said: "The most outrageous pieces of corruption that Walker handball not given."

A fourth person wrote: "Handball by Walker outside the box but the linesman and Anthony Taylor ignore it. VAR say check complete. Oh well."

A fifth wrote: "That was a handball on Walker btw. City are cheating b*******".

Another said: "Shock horror Kyle Walker gets away with a blatant handball."

Finally, one person wrote: "Show me the replay/picture of that Walker handball because I honestly have no idea how he’s not seen that."

After the international break, Chelsea travel to Newcastle on Saturday November 25, while City return to action the same day when they host Liverpool.
