What did Neal Maupay say to Kyle Walker? Pep Guardiola and Thomas Frank asked about fiery altercation

Neal Maupay clashed with Kyle Walker.

Pep Guardiola and Thomas Frank both addressed the fiery incident between Kyle Walker and Neal Maupay during Brentford vs. Manchester City.

Man City came from a goal down to beat Brentford 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday.

Phil Foden cancelled out Maupay's opener before bagging two goals in the second-half to complete his hat-trick. He revealed a new celebration and explained the meaning behind it following the game.

But the game was marred by a clash between Walker and Maupay following an incident that took place towards the end of the league fixture.

The Man City star appeared to take issue with something the Brentford player said to him during the match.

He then walked up to match referee Jarred Gillett, seemingly unhappy with something he claimed had been said.

Gillett subsequently had a conversation with the Frenchman, who looked confused as he looked back at the England international.

At this stage, it's unclear what was said between Walker and Maupay as Guardiola calmed his player down as the incident unfolded.

Guardiola and Frank kept their cards close to their chest as they remained tight-lipped over the scuffle between Walker and Maupay.

After the match, the Man City boss was quizzed about the incident to which he replied: "Nothing happened... next question."

Frank was also asked the same. He added: "No... I haven’t asked him [Maupay]."

Maupay was taken off in stoppage time and was seen speaking to Guardiola at length after the final whistle.

Walker's outburst comes after he opened up about his private life as he admitted to fathering a secret child during his marriage to Annie Kilner.

The Blues, meanwhile, climbed above Arsenal to second place following their win over Brentford. They have 49 points on the board, two points behind Liverpool.

As for Brentford, they remain in 15th place.
