Pep Guardiola 'went mad' with Man City star during FC Copenhagen win as furious moment spotted

Pep Guardiola was furious with one of his Man City players in the Champions League win over FC Copenhagen.

Pep Guardiola "went mad" at one of his Manchester City players during the Champions League round of 16 win over Copenhagen.

City beat Copenhagen 3-1 away from home in the first leg, with Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden all on targ

It was an eleventh consecutive win for City but there were negatives as both Jack Grealish and Silva were forced off with injuries.

Grealish's looked to be more severe, having been forced off in the 21st minute of his first start since the FA Cup game against Huddersfield on 7 January.

The former Aston Villa captain was visibly gutted after suffering a muscular problem.

He tried to play on but Guardiola was against him doing so and replaced him with Jeremy Doku.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Guardiola wasn't best pleased with the Belgian.

Jack Gaughan claims that the Catalan went "mad" at Doku for a lack of urgency in being stripped and ready to enter the fray.

Guardiola was seen embracing the former Lille man in training this week but clearly has no problems giving him an earful.

He even did so during the FA Cup win over Spurs when Doku failed to track back after losing the ball.

Grealish had started game strongly before picking up the unfortunate groin injury and Guardiola bemoaned the blow.

“Something muscular I think,” Guardiola told TNT Sports afterwards.

“A little bit groin - I don’t know perfectly. It’s a pity because these type of games, we need this type of tempo. The control, Bernardo and Jack they help us a lot to make an extra pass in the right moment to attack.

“In the last days, in the training sessions it was much better. It was a pity.”

Silva was on the receiving end of a shocking challenge which led to him being replaced by Matheus Nunes, with Guardiola describing it as a "bad knock".

Josko Gvardiol is also on the treatment table, having suffered an ankle problem which is set to sideline him for two to three weeks.
